The following individuals have been presented with a copy of my poem called "Barely Known."

 

Here I am receiving a citation from the Captain of the USS Ogden, Commander James F. Hruska, August 2006 while on Tiger Cruse form Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii to San Diego, CA.

 I reciprocated by presented him with my poem "Barely Known".

The USS Menard APA 201, September 2006 Reunion of surviving crew members was held in Wichita, KS.  Reunion President Jesse Bailey accepted my poem "Barely Known" thanking them for their time and services to this country.  This poem is maintained with the bell from the USS Menard APA 201 at the Hall of Valor in Fresno, CA.

 

Actor: Dale Robertson, WWII Veteran from Yukon, Oklahoma, was presented with a signed copy of "Barely Known" on 28 September 2007 at the Gene Autry Film and Music Festival, Gene Autry Museum, in Gene Autry, Oklahoma.  He stared in "Tails of the Wells Fargo", "The Gambler from Natchez", and "Death Valley Days".  The author of poem called "The Man with a Face" and has recorded several songs. 

 

 

 

Actor: Bill Hale, WWII Veteran from Rowlett, TX., was presented with a signed copy of "Barely Known" on 28 September 2007 at the Gene Autry Film and Music Festival, Gene Autry Museum, in Gene Autry,  Oklahoma.  His brother is actor Monty Hale whom worked with Gene Autry as a singing cowboy.

 

 

 

Actor: Robert Fuller, Korea Veteran was presented with a signed copy of "Barely Known" 26 September 2008 at the Gene Autry Film and Music Festival, Gene Autry Museum, in Gene Autry, Oklahoma.  In June 2010 at the Memphis Film Festival, "Gathering of Guns 2" I presented Mr. Fuller with a copy of "Thank You Sir".

 

 

 

 

 

Actor: Peter Brown, Korea Veteran was presented with a signed copy of "Barely Known" 26 September 2008 at the Gene Autry Film and Music Festival, Gene Autry Museum, in Gene Autry, Oklahoma.

 

 

 

 

Singer/song writer Johnny Western was presented a signed copy of "Barely Known" 24 April 2010 in Wichita, Ks., prior to moving to Phoenix, Az.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In December 2009, "Barely Known" was presented to the following WWII and Korea Veterans:  James Arness WWII (Actor), Harry Carey Jr., WWII (Actor), and Denny S. Miller Korea (Actor) whom I had met at Gene Autry Music and Film Festival in Gene Autry, Ok in September 2009.

 

In June 2010, at the Memphis Film Festival, "Gathering of Guns 2", first time in their career, all three "Cheyenne" series actors assembled at one location. I presented a signed copy of "Barely Known" to each of the following actors and Veterans Clint Walker, Will Hutchins and Ty Hardin (pictured on the left).  In addition it was also presented to the following actors and Veterans (pictured below) at the same event; William Smith, Dick Jones, and Hough O'Brian being held in Olive Branch, Miss.

          

 

On 21 and 22 Sept 2010, "Barely Known" was presented to Col. George Boyd, a Tuskegee Airman and WWII Veteran (pictured on the left), along with Col Frank Sharidan, Vietnam Veteran (pictured below) respectfully at McConnell Air Force Base, KS.

 

 

In August 2009, "Barely Known" was presented to Bill Reiesman, pilot of the Red Bull Mig 17 at the Jabara Flight Festival, Wichita, KS.

On 31 May 2010, "Barely Known" was presented to Bill Stanhope and his brother Patrick Stanhope both WWII veterans at the Colwich, KS Memorial Wall Dedication to those whom served from Colwich, KS.  

In July 2010, ":Barely Known" was presented to Ret. CMSgt Robert Brooks and Ret. SMSgt George Mitchell during their annual visit to McConnell AFB whereas the two were both stationed with the 22nd Civil Engineering Squadron in the Mid 1990's. 

 

 

On 2 Oct 2010, "Barely Known" was presented to WWII veteran Author 'Doc' Hollinger at American Legion Post 4 and to WWII veteran Charles 'Chaunce' Chauncey pilot of B-29 "Goen Jessey" at American Legion Post 408.  In addition, on 2 Oct 2010, at the Troop Support Ride fund raiser, the poem "Barely Known" was auctioned for $230 and the poem "My Final Ride" brought $100 and it is on display at the VFW/American Legion Post in Derby, KS.

On 15 Oct 2010, "Barely Known" was presented to Ret U S Air Force MSgt Lee Thomas, a Vietnam veteran at McConnell AFB, KS.  Lee is a vender of military hats and pins and is from Sherwood, AR. 

 

On 17 Oct 2010, "Barely Known" along with "My Final Ride" was presented to the American Legion National Commander Jimmy Foster along with a complementary sample of my home made Silver Medal Award, White Horse Reserve Strawberry wine.

 

The list grows on.
